"Inspirational Message #1"

March To Your Own Beat” is a phrase I've crafted that acts as a gentle reminder and
an empowering mantra for individuals who struggle with assertiveness and strive to
become more independent. This message, born during a meditation session in 2018,
holds immense significance to me. It has become a meaningful trademark slogan that
encapsulates my journey of overcoming people-pleasing tendencies and cultivating
my individuality. Although I have made significant progress in asserting myself, there
are still moments where this mantra continues to resonate strongly.

"Storm Eunice Did It"

Shortly after Valentine's Day, a storm named Eunice struck Europe. One surprising fact about this storm is that it caused approximately €1.8 billion in damages in less than a week. The plastic fairing fell off my bike recently during a very intense storm. It was the strongest storm I had experienced so far, and it caused me some annoyance. Having an abundance of free time, I found myself irresistibly drawn to the notion of embarking on a liberating journey to conquer the relentless creature known as 'boredom'. However, I decided to take a different path. I chose to go outside with a canvas and some spare acrylics. I let the wind influence the unfinished masterpiece.

"The Cyclist"

The "No Cycling" sign had a simple bicycle symbol. I decided to paint it, adding a stick figure that made it look like an alien. I love the rich black colour of the bicycle; some might argue that this second picture marks the beginning of my artistic style's decline into mediocrity as if my creativity were fading away.

These two paintings to date are probably the most I’ve ever felt inspired from painting them but still a work I’m satisfied to show. This is the only artwork that is pinpointed to an exact date of its completion, 4th February 2022.

"Chocolate!"

My first artwork. The first painting will most likely always be the most challenging; I remember re-discovering my artistic side again. It was the winter of 2022, and I had just written my first book; writing was something I had a passion for a long time. I realised I needed more to do than just sitting at home until 2 a.m. watching videos and reading the same web pages repeatedly.

Christmas isn’t a celebration I tend to distance myself from. I am not a fan of the event, and I see it as another day when everything is closed in the town. Christmas 2021 turned out to be rather unremarkable and far from memorable. I recall receiving an enormous amount of alcohol and chocolate that could potentially bring down even the mightiest of armies.

From the Driving Seat to the Hot Seat

Title: From the Driving Seat to the Hot Seat

ISBN: 9781917706094

Release Date: 23rd June 2026

Pages: 120

Purchase Price: £12.99

From the Driving Seat to the Hot Seat is a real-life memoir of what happened during an appearance on television that changed my life. Some readers will see that in March 2025, I appeared on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? a television show for which I've had a long appreciation.

Described as a "quiz master" by a regional BBC news programme. Also referred to as a fruity four-letter expletive by a Scouse woman online.

Jack Soley was a bus driver turned cobbler who had always had a dream of being a quizzer. Days before his 27th birthday, he successfully clinched a substantial prize on a hit game show.

He addresses frequently asked questions and emphasises his most unforgettable experiences before, during, and after being in the spotlight. Soley's deadpan style is prevalent in his anecdotes throughout this memoir.

"The Cities Are Soundless"

I have a folder on my computer called "Pandemic London" that has photos from my old phone. I didn't think I would use them, but it turns out some of the photos weren't taken in London. Explore a visual story showcasing our collective experiences during the 2020 pandemic. It was a time when the earth appeared to stop. The Cities Are Soundless exhibition features my phone's photos that capture meaningful moments. It made me reflect on the things I had planned but couldn't do, and how life would never be the same for many people after this.

We lost motivation, sense, lives, and confidence in the economy and ourselves after taking most of these images. For me, it was a bad time and the end of what I’d describe as my golden age. These photos show quiet and empty cities that are usually busy.

They were taken between March 22, 2020 and April 5, 2020, in Swindon, my hometown, and during a trip to London before strict rules were implemented.

4th Useless Facts Book Coming in 2026

3 books on useless information are the biggest earners and are the most popular books that I write; the journey of the books being released came one night in Oxford after visiting my aunt in the hospital on the 11th January 2023. The book had become an immediate success after I decided to press the button to launch the book, it has become a hit in the trivia sections ever since...

Considering that the useless information books are popular and that "Useless Facts That Nobody Wanted To Know" is a popular series with a following, I have made the decision to announce today that Volume 2 of 1,000 Useless Facts has begun! Estimated release may be much later than normal due to so many commitments in the next 12 months (i.e. buying a house and getting married).

I personally anticipate the book to be out by November/December 2026, regulars of this website will have access to pre-order the book before anyone else and as with all of my items on the Pomerak Ventures shop, you cut out the middleman and this will be the same price as elsewhere.

Format: Digital, LP, CD

Jack Soley's 3rd musical venture was that of a differing texture, The Alto Sanctuary was an ambient and experimental music project influenced by Nico Fors, Jean Michel Jarre, and some of the earliest works of David Bowie. The delivery of minimalistic beat samples along with the use of repetitive loops, and low frequency sounds give the listener a feeling of serenity, and an experience that allows themselves to be consciously aware of the music.

Since 2011, Soley had created music but had been more into Electronic and Dance, The Alto Sanctuary marks his third musical venture that officially began when his debut album The Chilling Memories was released at the start of 2021. Most of his work falls under the Drone and Experimental sub-genres of Ambient music, his albums have been created from many numerous methods.

For the first time ever on Pomerak Ventures, this album is re-released and given a new life with new images, audio remastering, and a package that will attract the aficionados of ambience.

This product is available in the Pomerak Ventures Shop.

Jack Soley with Graham Rogers on BBC Radio Wiltshire (17th & 18th March 2025)

My first proper appearance in the media where I was involved with someone (rather than being documented in some tabloid) after my appearance on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? on the Sunday, come Monday afternoon when I almost finished my shift at my new workplace, I was on a phone call with Mr. Graham Rogers that was live throughout Wiltshire and Gloucestershire documenting my time on the programme where I won some cash, on a show sat opposite none other than Mr. Jeremy Clarkson.

Because it was live and I didn't quite grasp how bad stage fright can be until my second appearance, the first interview was over the phone while I was at work and the second interview was the following day, except I was chatting with Graham in the studio, he's a cool guy and had no idea he used to be on TVS, the more you know!
