What's This Website About?

It shouldn't come to a surprise that I used to blog when I was 16, and that blog given another 8 years was made into a book (it's The Sandboarding Book if you weren't sure). I set up this website for my business, Pomerak Ventures; a company that I set up to manage my book & music publishing adventures but given that this app is so user friendly, and actively encourages you to blog on a frequent basis; you could argue that this website is more a personal blog.

I'm writing this now thinking that you've got a point, it was intended to be a website of my works and official business but since I'm the only person involved with the daily running of the company, I might as well blog too because if I set up a site strictly for the business and have 2 blogs, the unfortunate consequence will follow that one blog will be neglected. So is it a blog? I'll let you decide.

I wrote this initial piece in December 2024, since then I have migrated this website from Wordpress to Blogger, this was due to the cost of plugins and extras that WordPress offer that would significantly impact the sustainability of the company, and that some readers of the website have made complaints that cyber security is an issue; for example, pop-up ads that are repeatedly shown when viewing website content which of course would mean that I'd have to pay someone or a company to provide me with adequate cyber security. Ultimately, I shouldn't have turned my back on Blogger but this experiment with another blogging service in short reminded me that I shouldn't leave what I know.

1,000 Useless Facts That Nobody Wanted To Know

Title:  1,000 Useless Facts That Nobody Wanted To Know ISBN: 9781917706070 Release Date:  31st August 2024 Pages: 186 Purchase Price:  £9.99 Purchase Link:   https://amzn.eu/d/hqc5qWR A book containing facts that invoke a curious mind but are so pointless and random nobody would want to know, needs no introduction. With 1,000 factoids, I would say with certainty this is the most varied book of pointless facts to be written as of yet, and I would guarantee you won't find another book out there with the useless information and pointless knowledge that somehow is capable of expanding your inner curiosity, for example: the amount of people killed by vending machines annually, a newspaper published once every 4 years, a public artwork scheduled to finish in 11 centuries from now, and the politician who stands to win a fortune if he gets a promotion, to name a few obscurities. This is the 3rd serving of my useless information book series, I'm back and...

Another 500 Useless Facts That Nobody Wanted To Know

Title:  Another 500 Useless Facts That Nobody Wanted To Know ISBN:  9781917706032 Release Date:  27th June 2023 Pages:  88 Purchase Price:  £6.99 Purchase Link:   https://amzn.eu/d/ecIvc30 In January 2023, "500 Useless Facts That Nobody Wanted To Know" was an overnight success for Jack Soley's book portfolio. This work is a hub for the information that not a soul wanted to know; the knowledge would be so intriguing you'll wonder why you never had these books any sooner. If you're looking to own a book that'll convince your friends that you have nothing better to do and learn fascinating facts that frighten sane minds, or if you're thinking of going on a quiz show and the jackpot question involves unusable information that would otherwise be irrelevant, you have made a wise purchase. Examples of obscure facts in this sequel to the original include the origin of the most expensive parking ticket, the number of cups required to fill a...
