Last year, £77 was raised for the Open Blue Trust as a result of the efforts from the 1st Pomerak Ventures "Charity Drive".
I'm now calling this initiative something by a more accurate name, the "November Fundraiser". How this works is that 100% of the revenue generated from the sales of products from the company will be donated to the nominated charity. The money that would normally go to the company will go directly to charity, no-one takes a cut.
The charity I chose this year was partially recommended by the Open Blue Trust, as this was the charity responsible for the Open Blue Bus coming to the local area where I grew up as well as activities during and outside school hours. This charity also contributes a lot to the community week in week out and is an organiser of a prestigious community event every summer.
In addition to running activity groups for young people, they also provide chaplaincy and support within the community.
Shine Pinehurst is a registered charity with the Charity Commission of England & Wales. Although, I have moved out of the area I still feel a level of gratitude for the works they've done and continue to do. So for the 2026 November Fundraiser, all the profits in November will be donated to Shine Pinehurst.
